Youth 8 - 12 years old

The Junior Farmers program invites youth 8-12 yrs old to experience life on a certified organic farm.​ It aims to immerse children in a working farm environment where they can move their bodies and learn new skills.
Through a challenge by choice outlook, children have the opportunity to try a variety of safe and fun activities. This will include meeting farm animals, spending time in nature, and creating personalized farm treasures to take home!

The farm features a variety of animals including horses, goats, ducks, chickens, and rabbits! These animals are very friendly and excited to meet the Junior Farmers.

A nutritious and delicious snack is provided during programming.
Craft to Take Home
A nature based craft will be completed during programming. This is yours to keep and take home with you.
Each participate receives a free junior farmers t-shirt
This farm experience allows children to have interactions with animals of all sizes including horses, goats, chickens and bunnies.
These friendly animals love meeting new people and are excited to be a part of the Junior Farmers program.
The session will also include opportunities to learn about certified organic crops and how they are grown, harvested, and even served!
The programs run rain or shine, just as a day on the farm would. Less than ideal weather is a great tool to teach perseverance and a reminder that children can indeed do things that feel hard.

Children are expected to be dropped off at the start of the session and picked up promptly at the end. Due to the nature of our program and our space, parents will not be able to stay on site during the program. This allows the Junior Farmers to truly immerse themselves in each of the activities.
