SAFETY POLICIES
​​General Safety Rules and Guidelines

Children must be 8 years of age and older to receive service

All children 12 years of age and under must wear a CSA approved helmet when working directly with the horses. Helmets will be provided if needed.

No one is permitted to enter the barns or paddocks without the permission and direct supervision of staff.

No personal pets are permitted on site.

Clients must remain in the designated area of the farm. Clients who do not comply with this rule will be discharged from service.

Closed toed shoes or boots must be worn. If a client does not have appropriate footwear, the session will be altered and non-equine services will be provided. No equine interaction will occur if proper footwear is not worn.

Smoking and vaping is prohibited anywhere on Greenfields property.

Clients must be able to follow all equine safety instructions to ensure safety of all. If the client is unable to follow these safety rules, they will be discharged from service.

No phones are allowed during sessions. If you would like pictures of or with the animals, time will be allotted.
Equine Safety Instructions

ALL clients will be given detailed safety instructions for working with horses during the intake sessions, as well as reminders at the beginning of each session.
Below are some of the basic safety rules for working around horses.
*do not stand directly behind a horse
*never wrap a lead rope around your hand or body
*do not let a lead rope drag on the ground
*ensure your horse always knows where you are, never sneak up on them
*no running or sudden movements
*no loud and sudden noises
Parents and Guardians

Caregivers are not permitted to stay onsite during a session.
